How could this HAPpen?
There is a higher-up person @ work who lets this little verbal gem fly with great regularity. "How could this happen?" She stomps into your cube, stands entirely too close to you and lambastes your ass about why she didn't get what she wanted (which isn't always what she asked for). I'll tell you how: maybe someone made a mistake, maybe you, maybe me, maybe someone who hasn't worked here in years. What does it matter HOW? What matters is:
What is the correct information? and
When is it due?
The tirade that ensues after her first HCTH is just an excerise in futility... and a of flexing her management muscle.
I was neatly able to put her in her place during today's episode of HCTH. She had out dated information. She was in the wrong. But somehow she never admits it. It goes form major HCTH drama to "oh, no problem" as soon as the onus is on her. It was so sweet to be able to point out to her that what I had given her was correct and the example she was waving around wasn't up-dated info and THAT'S how that could happen. Ha! I say.
Someone here has suggested to get HCTH as a rubber stamp. That would be great!

Sunny Day Blues
Such a beautiful day. So many things to procratinate about. I just want to sit and look at the pretty day with my sweet kitty curled up in my arm. But there is so much to do. Cleaning and organizing and preping and what have ya.
I'll try to temper the urge to laze all day by drifting off between fits of productivity. We'll see how that works.

TALKER
Neighborhood Talker.
he is coming down the strret.
Run! Hide! He sees you.
FIRETRUCK FANTASY
Red-hooded talker.
Fantasizes of firetrucks.
walking down sidewalk
SIDEWALK SIREN
children flock to hear
the siren from his own lungs
on the street corner
JAY-TALKER
Sweet Sweet Jay-Talker
wants to befriend all people
with an ear to bend
I THINK MY MOM IS CALLING
If he corners you

Good times, Good times.
Yesterday I had one of those high-drama, in-your-face, omigod-the-sky-is-falling, everything-is-a-priority kind of days at work. You know what I'm talking about. We've all had them. (Some of us more than others.) So I was pretty wond up by the time I left work. It would have been great to go home and just crash. But I had made plans to go to an event with friends. And I adore these peops. Spending time with them is always a very positive experience. Last night was no exception. Not only was the event fun, just being there was a great stress reliever. By the time I went home. My mind was miles away from work and the drama associated with it. So here is to rocking it with good friends and good times!!

Kickboxing Rules!!!
I've been going to kick boxing class for 2 years now, averaging 2-3 times a week. Now I'm not a Buff Betty by any means. Oh, far, far from it. But I love the kickboxing. It's a great workout and an awesome stress management tool for most anyone. This pst weekend I picked up a hanging heavy bag, some floor mats and a pair of bag gloves. With the help of El Duderino, we set up a work out area in our basement. It's so cool!!! I got up early this morning and worked out for about 30 min. before work. It was AWESOME!
